We’re looking for a meticulous Container Stowage Planner who excels at maximizing vessel utilization and ensuring compliance with cargo regulations. If you're ready to play a crucial role in coordinating stowage operations for global shipping routes, this position is for you.
Capacity Management
Calculate slot and space requirements to effectively manage vessel capacity.
Stowage Optimization
Optimize vessel stowage to maximize utilization and ensure optimal sailing conditions.
Cargo Compliance
Ensure proper segregation and stowage of special cargo in compliance with the IMDG Code and in-house regulations.
Berth Planning
Plan vessel stowage, create berths, and make necessary adjustments to accommodate changing conditions.
Terminal Coordination
Advise global terminals on stowage issues and coordinate early berth arrangements with Terminal Managers.
Operational Support
Handle daily operational requests, such as Change of Destination (COD) and partner speed adjustments.
Cargo Allocation
Allocate slots for Out-of-Gauge (OOG), Dangerous Goods, and flexi-tank cargo, ensuring compliance and safety.
Cost Monitoring
Estimate round voyage costs and monitor bunker consumption at port and at sea.
Crane Coordination
Track crane availability and utilization at each port of call.
Reporting
Ensure timely submission of vessel reports and manage operational matters promptly.
Education & Experience
Minimum Diploma in Maritime Studies, Logistics & Supply Chain, or equivalent, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Operational Support
Experience working with Seacos/Macs3 and proficiency in Excel, including PivotTables.
Regulatory Knowledge
Conversant with the IMDG Code and Port Net.
Cargo Planning
Prior experience in planning vessels with multiport loading and handling complex cargo stowage.
